I have a few chinese friends and have received hang baos in the past.

Will probably get $20 from a chinese friend of mine next week when we visit her house.

Was in Laos staying with a friend's family last week, there were 3 of us there plus the friend, and all his aunties and uncles gave the three strangers (us) money, probably ended up with $50 US each.

Very embarrassing to be honest.
