I lost track of how many times the word 'underground' was uttered in the interview.

Excellent interview - can't wait for the Sci + Tec party in Miami. Best lineup I've seen down there so far.

God damn, they DID say "underground" a lot

I feel for Dubfire, I really do. I like what he's trying to accomplish, I just feel he's not pulling it off very well. Production wise he's hit or miss (miss lately) as a DJ I've only seen him twice recently and I don't care for him. There's not really anything "underground" about him though

While he's definitely widely known in dance music, I think they're talking about how the mainstream world does not know about his new style. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised if theres a lot of people who still don't know what happened to Deep Dish.

k so wait what exactly classifies a track as being totally undergroung? Not getting much exposure and not getting played by eveyrone?

who fucking cares. There is alot better out there to discuss than Dubfire. He's not that bad but he's not that interesting. Some of his remixes and productions are okay but they are so overplayed and beaten up that it gets annoying. There is alot better music out there to be discussing and reading interviews on.

Do you like his music? I think that's what should matter more, right? Underground is just a word.

He's trying too much. Releasing a single-sided vinyl with a sticker that makes it look more like an unofficial release, doesn't make the actual music more underground.

We should definitely look more into things like this, then the quality of the music that he is releasing.

Not gonna sit here and defend his musical productions but some of the assumptions a lot of you pull out of your ass are pretty hilarious.
