I know there was a Hans Zimmer appreciation thread at one point, but seriously, John Williams is amazing. Post your favorite scores with a link, if possible to the audio.

The crescendo at the end just kills me.

I had a Professor once who was close friends with both John Williams and Philip Glass - I guess he first met Glass some time at a party he was to deliver an intro speech towards Glass accepting some award... but just before the speech, Glass accidentally spilt a gravy boat on his shirt.
And they were friends ever since.
I know friend-of-a-friend stories usually aren't worth much, but I thought it was a decent one, gimmie a break.

I appreciate, although he isn't as creative with his soundtracks for sequels

OMGIDIE !
I played in the band for 10 years and my FAVE piece of ALL time was called "John Williams in Concert"
It had all the sexy classics... the BBC News theme, the Olympic song, ET theme (my solo *thanks very much* ) Jaws theme, Star Wars theme, Superman theme... omg I wish I knew the actual names of these songs but I can't remember...
Amazing composer
