Anyone have a portable GP2X?

Anyone have this? I'm considering picking this up as a budget alternative to buying a dedicate ebook reader.

Yeah I have one.

There's currently a new unit out that has touch screen. It's a pretty good device, as it's light and works fine with rechargeable batteries.

However, you'll need to purchase an SD card as the 32MB that's built in is hardly enough. And from what I've seen, avoid using it as that's like the system memory, therefore if you mess around with it, it's not too good.

As for video and sound, it worked great. As for the eBook reader, the screen is of a good size and it reads the text files quite well. But I believe it only reads txt files at the moment. There is a PDF reader but it's quite slow, however, there might be something better out right now...Check gp2x.de as that's a popular site with GP2X downloads.
