Live Set Recording - integrating crowd reactions
Has anyone recorded a live set and included surrounding sounds (i.e., the party people going wild on a build-up, etc)? I'm interested in finding out exactly how one could set that up and what equipment is needed. Is it just as simple as connecting a mic to the mixer and setting the volume at a level that works? most likely not...
I'm sure there are important details and tips regarding the exact mic placement, mix volume, etc., to avoid having it all sound like crap when put together.
(I could just search and find info about this, but I'm more interested to hear from people here who have had experience with this, and also thought it would be a thread interesting to others as well)
