Trends get copied, it's the nature of the business.

If an artist can deliver his/her take on a certain trend, and make it sound good, I don't see a problem with that.

Fragma - Toca Me/Toca's Miracle (In Petto 2008 Remix)

I could have sworn this was a Deadmau5 production, but In Petto are supposed to be two of the guys from Fragma, aka Duderstadt, right?

Doesn't a lot of what Deadmau5 makes already sound like things made by other producers (i.e. Prydz)?

It's dance music, it happens.

I believe they are friends with Joel.

Glen Morrison & Deadmau5 - Contact

Plus, I've seen videos of mau5 and Morrison in a studio, I'm pretty sure they're friends. As far as Adam K goes, I don't know but I wouldn't doubt it.

Yeah, they're one half of Fragma, and already remixed this track back when it was originally released (I think).

Apparently, this track was so close to the Deadmau5 style of production that is was mislabeled as one of his remixes, and Deadmau5 posted the following blog regarding this track:

quote:
so i gotta set the record straight... i didnt do this Toca Me (deadmau5 remix) thing.

I dont know who's brilliant idea it was to slap my name on it, but i can personally guarantee you all that i did not butcher this track.

As for Glenn Morrison, as I posted in the Unfinished Symphony thread, the way Hyrdology is styled and the way that it unfolds is so spot-on close to something Deadmau5 would produce, I had to make sure that Glenn Morrison wasn't just one of his aliases.
