I have a fast connection, and can download from most sites at about 400 - 800 kbps, yet Beatport has always been slow and I download at 25k.
Anyone else have this problem? We pay top dollar for our tracks - surely that entitles us to d/l at a reasonable speed. To grab 10 tracks takes fucking ages.

Its something with your DNS/ISP
same happens to me from school
what i had to do last time i bought a good amount of songs so i logged in remote into my work machine in NYC and downloaded it there and then copied the files over to me through remote desktop because not only was it slow it kept timing out after a minute or so

Buy a ton of wav files and see how thrilled you are when it downloads at 25k

i get about 150KB/s from beatport. if i download the free songs though, i get about 15-30KB/s.
150KB/s is still unacceptable when you are PAYING for the service... overall, i am not at all impressed by beatport. i buy from there because i believe in paying for music, but there is not enough added value to make it worth it for most people. if i wasn't so morally stubborn, i would boycot beatport entirely. that said, the beatport interface is much better than trackitdown, djdownload etc.

I've got up to about 100k/sec off them, but usually its at about 25k/sec.
It really does suck when you try and download 80-100Mb WAV files

i always download as many files at a time as it allows me to at once, i think it's six. anyway, the speed is always at around 600 to 800 kbps for me. my connection rarely downloads anything faster than that anyway, so i've got no complaints!

I get this per download, so I can download 4 tracks at the same time for a combined max of 100k per second. I should be able to get 8 times faster than that.

I got fast downloads a few days ago on the free tracks (about 4 minutes each or 500 kbit/sec) but waited until midnight when my cablemodem is a little faster. And I figure it might be considerate to not use prime-time when I'm not paying.
Downloaded mostly 1 track at a time but I tried 4 tracks at a time no problem, raises total bitrate to about 600 kbit, or 30% of my max download speed.
I'm only about 2000 km away from BeatPort, users far away such as Europe would not be able to go so fast, no doubt.
