its been said time and time again but i keep hearing the tunesa gain and again and thinking damn chicane is underrated yes he get alot of attention and yes he is very popular/successfull but in terms of how good his productions are he is no WHERE NEAR reaching the level of recognition he deserves... as i type this red skies is blaring in the background and damn i have to say this is one of my favourites he creates an ambience like no other he gives the music substance and meaning...!!!! someone agree with me!!! the man is genius!!!!! yeahhhhh everyone download red skies!!! chicane owns!

Whats Louise Nurding/Redknapp got to do with Chicane??!!

I just downloaded red skies.. Its alright but not really that great in my opinion. I must say, I've heard alot better. I guess it would be good if you like that kind of pure atmospheric type track. I admit I do like chicane's dont give it up though,, thats a crazy track.

Might be because he hasn't done anything since 2000, so people kinda forgot about him

A couple of months ago there was a thread asking who was the most underrated producer and i said Chicane and alot of people replied saying they didn't think he was. I think for the quality of his music he gets NO recognition. In my view he should be up there with PVD and Tiesto when it comes to people listing their favorite tracks and talking about his music. I have yet to listen to a track produced by him that i did not like and 95% of them i play over and over again and still never get sick of them. I think Chicane is the best and his music is unique.No one produces stuff that relaxes and sooths me like his. His stuff makes me feel like i am in another place, Paradise. think i love Chicane? Look at my avatar.

yep chicane is quality. i don't think they are under rated though. Nick has had a lot of tunes in the top 40 don't give up was #1 saltwater #3.. hoping some new tracks come soon, but rather not rush and get subpar track.

Yes Chicane is awesome but I don't really think he's underrated.
His Cds seem to be the only ones consistently near the top of the Trance lists at Amazon.com and everyone knows about him from his radio outings...

Though maybe around here he's a bit underrated...

yeah i think its a bit weird hes underrated within the community but not so much out of it if compared to say tiesto... still he did want to walk this line of commercialism and quality i dont know i really love his production he is so genius...
