Budget Turntable

Ok ive looked everywhere around on this site but couldnt find an answer i was looking for.

Basically im planning to purchase a Turntable and my budget is around 120 Pounds.

Ive just got CDJ200s and im buying this turntable just to play a vinyl or two once in a while.Im not into scratching, just want to use the TT for beatmatching thats all.

Please suggest me some good models.

Ive been looking at Stanton T.60 and Numark TT1650, and some gemini ones aswell. Also i would like to know the difference between an expensive TT and a cheap one and will one of these solve my purpose.

Thanks.

Cheap ones might not hold their pitch that well. They also have a very low amount of torque.

Technics hold their pitch amazingly well, have a very high amount of torque and just an overall better feel.

lies. technics 1200s have very low torque by todays standards. the motors are good quality and last though.

greenlight_in, numark tt200s are the cheapest you should bother with. the 1650s are belt drive. numark tt200s will be a good buy, as they have similar specifications and feel as a 1200 (in terms of spin up & torque etc.). however, they won't last as long obviously.

Hey guys,thanks for the response.
I have also been looking across web and figured that turntables in that range have shit torque,so ive managed to increase my budget a little and now im looking atStanton T.80 .
What do you guys think about that.

And regarding Technics, they shoot way above my budget,so im not even gonna look at them and feel like shit, since they are fucking beautiful!!

actually the Numark 1650's are direct drive, I used to have a pair.
i wouldn't recommend getting them if you are a more experienced dj (ie not absolute beginner).
Even if you were a beginner dj they'd be the lowest choice.

since you already have CDJs, you dont NEED a 1200 right now, just wait a lil longer, save some more, and buy a second hand technics. mine are 4 years old and they may as well be brand new

Yeah, people can debate to death the pros and cons of this CDJ or that mixer, but when it comes to turntables there is only one undisputed king: The Technics 1200 series.

Anyone who disagrees can, quite frankly, go and eat their own face.

That's also bollocks. OK, so perhaps they no longer have the highest torque motor, but to say that they have very low torque motors is not true.
