since thats purely a dj mixer with no ability to use it as a midi controller with any dj programs on a computer, your friend will need to get a soundcard that has 4 outputs (2 for virtual deck 1 to run into one of the channels on the mixer, and the other 2 to run into one of the other channels on the mixer) then u can use your computer like they are cdj's and the mixer exactly how it should be used.

Would any of the following soundcards do the trick as i can get my hands on any of these??
I wouldnt use those.
The question is, what is your price range and do you a laptop or desktop?

I'm guessing really want is a midi controller.
but, could get 2 soundcards, and hook that up to the mixer..you'll get everything aside from pitch control etc, that'll still have to be done in the software (ie mouse/keyboard)
to use your computer as 2 virtual decks and hardwire the output of each virtual deck into your dj mixer you will need a "4 out" sound/audio interface and i dont think you will find one for under $100. all the sound blasters to my knowledge only have 1 stereo output which is good for one channel on your mixer

sound blasters have 5.1... there is software that can use fronts as 1 channel and rears as another...
anyways, you can either use 2 soundcards, or if the mobo has an onboard, you can use the onboard + a soundcard.
but yeah, no "virtual deck" control through the mixer, just mix0ring.
ah yeah i just remembered back to the SB live days, and do now remember 2 stereo outs from it. u had to turn them on in the settings somewhere.

Actually pc's for years now have had onboard 5.1 you might be able to get something going with just that..
Just put the card in 5.1 mode, and find some software that supports using front/rear as 2 separate channels in this mode.
