I don't see anything special in that. I could throw you a good dozen artists who all have a similar sound or ideas tbh.

Love his stuff... pre Border (Mango Remix). His last few releases have the constant chord stabbing theme which is reminiscent of Deadmau5. Not saying his latest work doesn't sound good but I was loving his earlier original work much more.
