Re:Vision - The Court Yard, 140Bpm Trance (serious/darker) in a KIND OF tyas / discov

This was meant to be a remix of a track of a friend. I wanted to make something he would play in his current sets and also i felt the track would sound good in that style. About half way through the day i started going off on a tangent away from the discover sound and this is the result.

It's called the Courtyard because it reminds me of oakenfold and the courtyard. Made in fruity loopy loops.

Any comments welcomed

Sounds pretty good. It could use better percussion to add some energy and drive.
The offbeat subbass has to go, it's just way overdone, even 7 years ago. A quote from Sean Tyas himself:
"Way too much offbeat basslines going around now so it is time again to put that element to sleep, and instead focus possibly on the less is more approach to trance."
The melody is cool. Though the synths sound a bit muddy in the mid frequencies and there's too much noise in the high frequencies.
