Decane - Altitude (Progressive Trance)

Hi all,

I've just spent a few days getting down a tune I thought up in a Physics lesson. I put a lot of effort into this track, and I'm pleased with the outcome. I'm still quite a novice at music production, and I'm not at home with track EQ'ing and Compressing - so it may all be a little ropey; I'd appreciate some feedback on what's good, and how I could improve.

Anyway, enjoy!

Hi Decane

I think that you are in a good level

I just can't tell smth about bass cause I'm listening from laptop.
I don't like the synth at 7:20. Too simple and maybe too loud.
Maybe you must see again about the level of percs, specially at the beginning of the track.
As for the build I can't find smth bad but maybe I can't cause I'm most psy listener...
Otherwise your track is very good and if you don't tell us that you are novice maybe will not understand it

Thank you Sparkunian for your feedback.

Yes, the bass is quite low frequency, and you'll probably need some decent speakers to pick it up.
I see what you mean about the synth at 7:20, I might try using a different sound for it, and perhaps spicing it up a bit?
...and the percs? I'd say, if anything - they're slightly too quiet, but that may just be my speakers... I always turn down the treble slightly.

Anyway, thanks very much.
