Seemed to have downloaded this at some point, although I can't remember why. Maybe the title intrigued me.

Anyhow, this is a pretty bland set overall, as it lacks any kind of structure; just the same kind of tracks over and over. Plus, the production on them is far too overdone; everything's drowned in reverb and compressed to the extreme. I find if I reduce the playing volume to about 2/3 of my usual listening volume, I can make out some of the dynamics of the tracks. And there are some decent tracks to be had, but the lack of structure has eliminated most of their personalities, as they blend all together in one long tedious excursion through lead-up/breakdown/drop epic-trance-by-numbers.

If I was listening to this out at a party, I'd probably stick around for a couple tracks, fuck off to another stage for a while(most likely jungle for some good rhythms), and come back a little while later for a couple for breakdowns and drops before fucking off again. I wouldn't have missed much in the process anyway, since the set doesn't really go anywhere.

4/10

(Trial By Fire's pretty good!)
