Hi. You have great ideas and the sounds are cool.
I love the bassline pattern and progression.
The mixing however is horrible, sorry to say.
Do you hear how the kick gets drowned out by the track in the middle? And the mix is also distorting quite alot.

Here's some advice on how to improve the mix. (It should apply to most DAWs)
1. Turn all channel faders down, except for the Master fader, set it to 0.0 dB if it's not already.

2. Now solo the kick and bring it up until the meter peaks at -10dB.
It's important that you do not adjust the kick level after this step.

3. Apply a highpass filter to the bassline channel. Set it to around 30-40 Hz. It's necessary to cut some of the subsonic rumble.
It eats up alot of headroom in a mix.

4. Bring up the bass fader until it sounds good. The master meter should peak at around -6dB tops.

5. Now bring up the rest of the levels, again use your ears. The master meter should peak at around -3dB. No higher than that!

6. If you have trouble fitting all the sounds together without exceeding -3dB. You might need to EQ some elements.
Remember that pads and leads don't need too much bass, so you can cut quite alot here, but don't cut it all away or they will sound thin!

7. Now you're ready to master your track. I suggest you simply put a maximizer on your master channel. Boost the gain on the maximizer by 3-10 dB.
If you don't have one, I suggest BuzMaxi3 a freeware maximizer with surprisingly good sound. It's comparable to the Waves L3 Ultramaximizer.

I really hope you rework this track, because the poor mix doesn't do the track justice.

Yeah, i agree with Eldritch i would just like to say this track is very different in a good way. I am starting to get bored of the uplifting stuff with the same structure and sounds. This song has very nice sounds but sometimes they don't sound as good as they should because the poor mixing.

Hey mate!
Noise all the way in the beginning, heh.
The stabs and the percussion in the first minute are very awesome. Nice groove.
The noise on top of it is just distracting me, maybe you tried something more dirty and original but that didnt quite work for me as its messing the track up quite a bit.
Well otherwise very cool melodies and harmonies. I dig the melody in the breakdown.
Bitcrusher final. Nice way to end the track.

As Eldritch mentioned theres some distortion going on.
I suggest you mix at lower levels, so theres less clipping, the pad should be cut in the low area so it doesnt make your low range muddy.
You got great ideas, and the track has everything needed to make a good listen, except for the mixing.

Wow man.. i seriously respect you for that advice.. have been on my holidays and just came back few days ago.. the distortion was done in purpose.. if you mean the distorted synth in the very beginning of the track?!.. i put in throughout the track aswell playing together with the main synths.. maybe thats why the synths sound a bit distorted.. guess im better of not putting it in the Qlimax but rather just leave it in the intro/breakdown etc... ill definatly will rework the track with the mastering. maybe meanwhile would you be interested in remixing it? would be great to hear a Eldritch remix of it. thanks again for the cool advice.

Thanks man, nice to hear the track is different. guess its my own style of music.. ill rework the mixing of the song, hope you will like it even more then! cheers.

I'm glad to be able to help.
The distorted synth is fine. I meant the whole mix is distorting, as in clipping. If you follow the steps I posted you should get rid of the clipping.
And yes. I'd love to remix it, check your PMs.

good idea

hey Rinster! here Rafal

i think, your track have problem with eq.

1. first voice goes to loud... much..
2. leads from 12 sec can go forward to 1:24 [from cutoff]
3. hats not to loud?

4. so, maybe i have bad hi-fi...

i invite to us

Way too much compression on this!

The distorted riff you talk about really does sound awful. It's pretty useless in that distorted state and taking up unnecessary room in the mix.

What happened at 0:56 it all becomes a distorted mess. The track is clipping throughout.

I can barely hear the kick due to it clashing and being overpowered by the bass. The percussion is hidden behind that distorted riff.

The melody's are alright though.

Just fix the mix and post it back up!

With a lot of the comments on this so far.

The whole level thing is destroying what is essentially a track I would playlist in the blink of an eye.

The pads come in way to loud just before the break. As with all the other high end stuff, it tends to drown out the core elements in the track which is a shame.
Track is over compressed in a very strange way, not just brickwalled but getting squashed against it.

What are you mixing down on at the moment? Do you have studio monitors.
Also what are you using to write i.e. DAW and VSTS etc.

I wouldn't mind a stab at doing a mix down for you. Alternatively one of the other gusy here with more experience might be willing. I think this track needs an honest chance at getting heard and played.

Cheers
Nem
