Ferry Corsten at The Forum in Charlotte 3/25/08

Hey guys, I'm a noob here. I see that Ferry is playing soon in Charlotte. I've been an avid trance fan and clubber for years, but I've never been to a "real club" with a good trance DJ playing. I haven't seen much advertising for it so what's it gonna be like? Is it gonna be packed? Do these guys spin all night? TIA

The Forum is a pretty cool place. I can imagine it getting ridiculously packed for such a popular DJ like Ferry. I'd expect him to play till about 2:15.

I've pretty much been there for every big dj in town the past 2 years. It's never been so crowded that I can't stand it, and I don't think I've ever had a bad time there, other than one night I went for a college night after being to drunk to realize what I was walking into. You will have a blast. The only downfall is 2:15 is never late enough.

Yea, gotta love those old Blue Laws. I'm hoping it's not too packed as well, I mean, a lot of people is great but the clubs in Greensboro (if you can even call them that) pack so many people in there it's impossible to even move. I was worried because it looks like a smaller venue. I already got my VIP tickets, clubbing on a Tuesday night should be interesting!

One more stupid noob question, do they do the glo-stick thing there (or is that only for raves)? That looks like fun!

Nah, it's never too crowded to move there, only right out in front of the dj booth... but I mean it's obvious that will be crowded. As for the whole glowstick thing... you don't really see that much. Only a select few of the hardcore break those out - I personally can't stand raver kids, I just go for the music and booze.

mmm beer and music.

I really liked The Forum when we saw Deadmau5/James Zabiela but the bouncers there are the biggest hardcore dicks ever. They threw everyone out onto the patio saying we can talk to the dj's there and then kicked everyone off the patio. Bait and switch assholes!
