my definition...a terrorist is someone who attacks non-military targets in order to spread fear through a population with the goal of affecting political change. I think people on both sides of the war can agree with this definition.

USS Cole? I wouldn't consider that terrorism at all. It was an attack on the military force of their enemy. They meant to do damage...not to invoke fear and terror.
