if it sounds better, why not do it??!? I usually only change the pitch to beatmatch.. if it is faster, than it is faster, slower than it is slower

20% is tooooo much....plus on technics u can only pitch up to 8%

yeah thats what i was thinking

usually between +2 to +6% pretty good for energy, but usually above +6%, some vocals are like chipmunks , and below -4%, the vocals or melody sounds horrible.

some tracks sound COMPLETELY different when they are pitched up/down

a couple of examples:

Maurice - Feline
Sundance - Won't let This Feeling Go (Angelic Mix)

plus: the original recording of trance records is almost always done at lower speeds than djs play during sets: usually around 132-137 (while during the sets it almost always goes up to 145 or so).

and +20%. say, we have a record that was recorded at 135bpm. you have 135+20%=162 it's waaaay too much

yeah like that tune "never fuck" when pvd played it, it rocked, when i dled the mp3 and heard it i was like, what song it this!!.. It sounds better faster.

DJ Scot Project spins at 145-150 and his sets sound pumpin'!

is there a way to pitch up the songs in wav or mp3 and then burn it to play on cd or somethin???
