I need a doctor

Alright, so I have a soar throat, but they're pretty common so whatever. First off, what's everyone best technique in getting rid of said soar throat? I hear orange juice is a real killer, as well as anything with sugar.

But my real question is, I think I have an ear infection, or something of the sort. I havent had one since I was a little kid, so I'm a little confused as to whether or not I actually have one. Basically, it feels as if I'm constantly pushing down on my right ear drum, kinda like how when you talk your voice sounds like its extremely full of bass? Only its JUST the right ear. When I push down on my left ear drum, I can still hear outta my right, but it still seems like something is either clogging it or...I dunno, somebody help me. Whenever I talk, my right ear sounds like a live drum & bass show.

Go to a doctor. Ear stuff should not be fucked around with. If you lost your hearing in one ear, you'd feel like a real dick having posted on TA about it instead of seeing a medical professional.

For a sore throat, gargle some salt water.

Then go to a doctor.

Good advice. However I havent completely lost my hearing, is it possible some water is just stuck in there or something?

You may have damaged your ear drum.

Which has perhaps caused a leak of not so nice fluids.. perhaps it is sinosis or sinocitis.. or whatever the heck it is called.

Go to a clinic man. Hopefully you have universal health care where you are.

At the least it is an infection and you'll be put on antibiotics.. but if it is a damaged ear canal.. get it checked right away.. cause it is actually a life threatening situation.

LIFE THREATENING?

I'm going tomorrow.

In all my years in medicaine I have never heard of such a complex case. You have a very rare condition that is known as being a hypochondriac (whinyus-bitchus). Take two man testicles and suck them up.

I wouldn't know. A doctor would. Go!

Edit: Don't listen to Dervish, he's Scottish, and too tight to pay for a doctor.

Alright, alright, I'm not ignoring the doctor request, but is there some sort of over the counter droplet thing I could buy at Walgreens that could perhaps cure this?

you have a wax build up in your ear. try eardrops or go to the doctor for it to be syringed out.

sore throats - ice cream, horrible-tasting liquid from the chemist to gargle, cut down on smoking if you do, strong lozenges with ice cold water. if its not a viral infection some anti biotic might help.

stop taking deep throat.

This is all I live for.

Okay, after a small amount of research, it appears that both the throat and ears are connected internally via the eaustachian tube. The soar throat PLUS the partial hearing loss are actually directly related in that fluids sometimes get stuck up there upon blowing the nose or swallowing flem (I've had a cold so this would explain that).

In other words, its hardly anything to fear, they sell over the counter drugs to help cure it, and if it doesnt help then you go see a doctor. Walgreens, here I come!...tomorrow.
