they supposedly shipped my order on May 2nd and it is now the 14th and i have still not received my records.. that is 12 days, when i order from chemical, i usually get it in about 5-7 days.. both are shipping from UK to california so I don't see whats the hold up..

just got mine today. took them only 1 week to get here.

I also placed an order with HMV on 5/2, and still no records. It usually takes HMV a week or two longer than other online stores, so I'm not worried yet. In contrast, my order from Replay Records on 5/1 arrived last week. Ah well.. HMV usually has lower prices, so I can't complain.

the thing is if you have backorder, they wait about 10 days before actually dispatching what they already have in stock for you. so in reality, it doesn't take more than 4-5 days to get their shit over to you.

oh i know that.. i've had the order open for over a month.. but you can check the status and when they ship it it says "items have been completely shipped" and also they send u an email saying that "your order has been shipped".. in my case, my order was actually shipped on 5/2 so it should be here by now.. im thinking my postman is a dumbass and delivered to the wrong address.. cos i also have a money order that someone sent me over a week ago in the mail and it still has not gotten to me, and that was coming from Washington and im in california, it shouldn't take that long.. stupid US postal service!!

I second that. I got a pair of slipmats in the mail yesterday, CLEARLY marked "do not bend" on the package. But what did USPS do? They attached it to my mailbox with a rubber band! Oh, and don't get me started on all of the mail that I was missing in January!

Back on topic, I just checked HMV, and I have no orders... which means that my order from 5/2 was shipped and is out of the system. Hopefully it will come today (with a rubber band around it, no less! )

yay!.. just got my order today.. aparently if they are coming from HMV, they get caught up in customs at the US.. also got my order from chemical today which was shipped an entire week later, guess chemical's orders aren't processed through customs

not here in canada. chemical always get checked by canadian customs and if i order 3 records or more...i'm 100% sure i will be tagged for duty. HMV however, has never has gotten me into paying any duty. though when they ship to me its only 1 record or 2.

... and to tell you the truth, i had a CD shipped from Japan and it didn't have to go through customs.. i wonder why HMV's stuff has to be inspected or watever they do w/ it at customs..
