I dont know what's wrong with my USB but it doesnt seem to work anymore. My computer reads that my USB is there however whenever i enter a device into the USB slot, i get a pop up message that says the USB device malfunctioned and its not recognized. I tried uninstalling all my drivers and rebooting but that didnt work. so i decided to format my comp and that didnt work.

Im outta ideas here. i even downloaded a new chipset driver from the Gateway website, and that didnt work.

anyone know the problem and what i can do about it?

Have you tried....other usb devices? Maybe that shit's (the end device) broken.

you might have dust in your port or something, happened to me on my old laptop.

yeah ive tried other devices same shit....i dont think i have dust in it either. though u never know

could be the usb port is broken. do you have more than one port?
