So normally for all my gigs i just use my works setup of 2 CDJs, a mixer, and serato, +lights. but this time for a gig i have to use my own home gear (its complicated)

at the moment i have 1 CD player, 1 2chan mixer, 2 vinyl TT's.
I'm DJing a fashion show, so speakers are provided, but i was wondering what thing i should get to go along with the set up.

I could get a 2nd CD player, and just use my 2 channel mixer, but that means that I can't really use vinyl, unless I want to switch the lines/phono's.

I could get a four channel mixer, and that would let me use all the things in my current kit, and then i would borrow a very very VERY crappy CD player from friend.

I could get lights and fog machine to use at the fashion show for effects, and then just use the 2 channel mixer with the said above technique of switching between line and phono and borrowing my friends VERY VERY crappy CD player. Oh and i get headphones too since my just broke, but i could always borrow a pair.

yeah. So also whatever I get i'd keep and not return, so i guess it helps for thinking of future things, but w/e. Thank you in advance for the help.

i need help ASAP since my gig is kinda soon and i have to buy whatever it is im buying ASAP to have it get here on time.

Rent a proper setup. Rates aren't bad.

It's not possible for you to just use serato with your TTs and mixer?

Also, switching lines/phonos really doesn't matter unless you're trying to mix three things at a time...so I wouldn't go for the four channel mixer unless you are. I mean seriously, it's not hard to flip a switch one out of every two mixes.

yeah its not possible. All the stuff I normally use is being used by the radio station i work at.

Oh oh ok, I misunderstood.

I would go for the other CD player. Unless you want to buy Serato for yourself (not sure if you have a laptop already).
