I make sure not to listen to our local radio station every friday at 9pm...because Scotty boy has a show here where he plays live friday nights at 9pm on energy 92.7 and I'd rather olisten to alice deejay over and over again than the horrible mashups he plays!!

Not hating on him as a DJ, just the tracks (mashups) I always here him play are atrocious!..vegas style mashups...YUCK.

he's got 4 different radio shows.....i'm pretty sure at least one is house. his preference is house music but he's usually booked to play the hip hop/r&b/house/rock sets that is prevelant at the hollywood and vegas mainstream clubs.


btw, all of the main players that ran Rehab the past couple of years have all left for other venues/promotions. will be interesting to see if it makes any difference....though i'm over Rehab - too ghetto a crowd now.

He came to SB last year and I absolutely hated his set. I'll be the one to say that he sucks as a DJ.

I know this is obvious, but someone needs to point it out. Either Rehab is hurting (which I don't believe it is), or Scotty Boy is completely full of shit!

I played with im at Vanguard last year, and I didn't think he was bad. He played all house. It wasn't anything where I was blown away, but it wasn't that bad either.

Actually, I recorded his set. I have it somewhere.

well one thing to remember is that offer was made to those on his email list - not like he publically was posting that offer. i know Scotty and he's always put me on the list for any event he played when i wanted to swing by and say hi.

I've hung out with him a couple times @ Vanguard as well. Caught a set of his a year or so ago @ Spider Room as well. Sucks when he is forced to play hip hop/mashups, but I always enjoy it when he plays house.

Regardless, I think his offer to get into Rehab for free makes the CD purchase worth it!

No, but when the crowd isn't an EDM happy crowd, you gotta play what the crowd wants.

I always see people go up to strickly house/trance DJ's asking, "Can you play some hip-hop?"

It's nice when a DJ can play multiple genres to please a crowd.
