Some really cool stuff on there, I think I preferred the first half to the second, for all of the dark proggy stuff
But I felt the change into Wizardry was a bit too sudden, it didn't really seem to flow right (although I know Wizardry can be difficult to fit in right).
Unfortunately what could have been a good mix from there on out was spoilt by some misplaced effects and the mixing quality seemed to decline somewhat.
Still, much more interesting than an hour of samey floaty supersaw trance, or the ultimate Discover and Vandit collection, which seem to make up 90% of the trance mixes I hear these days. |
thanks for your feedback! i definitely seem to have withdrawn from most of the commercialized trance they put out nowadays, and as you can see i've been playing a lot of classics. i didn't really put much thought into this mix, just had some fun with it as i went along.
...here's an interesting tidbid, the last track "tiesto-shandar" dates back from 1996, first track released under the tieso alias. very simple techy track.....just threw that in for comparison to what he makes nowadays.
