Every region has its own preference.

You cant just say everyone want Democracy.. I have noticed some trends in differents regions and countries, and I would like to highlight them:

Canada: Prefers policy of candidate more than the party or candidate itself.

USA: Prefers personality and popularity and looks of Candidate more than than anything else.

Africa: Its jungle rule, one with more fire power rules it, its classic wild scenario lions wins the race and I like it that way and never want it to change.

Middle East: Likes Dictatorship or Autocracy or whatever you call it in your region, they want want one powerful guy to be in charge and rule them.. they clearly dont want democracy and shit Bush force on them.. They are most intelligent in my personal opinion.

China: They just dont care.. they win will just adjust according to what ruileng power demands..

India: Democracy

Pakistan: Dictorship from a military backgroud... they think one who who hod military positio highest holds most power and position.

Japan: Apes USA cos of its inferiorty complex after Hiroshima.

What other countries you can add to this list. go ahead and contribute your thougts.. cos your personal experience means more to me than books and news channels tell me.

I don't like to make such generalizations. I have friends from all over who share many of my views regarding personal freedoms and civil liberties.

I think that many people from around the world are cheering for Ron Paul because they've heard him speak and his message has resonated within them. Freedom is universally recognized, IMO.

I can only really speak for my own country but I will add that we're not a democracy here, anyway. We're a Constitutional Republic and I try to emphasize the Constitutional part of it because that really is the basis or foundation for all of our freedoms.

Our Constitution is SUPPOSED to help keep any potentially oppressive rulers in check and we wouldn't even be in this war right now if they had followed it.

i actually agree with you here. except i don't know if people from around the world are actually cheering for ron paul. if that is the case, i think it has more to do with his non-interventionist stance on foreign policy.
