Re: The global cooling debate has begun anew...
i find it hard to totally rely on this information because i have never heard of most of them, and could not easily verify that any of those sources were non-partisan sources of info - i would like to see NASA data or something similar.
assuming that it is accurate, i don't necessarily think it counters the global warming theory. using 365 days as the testing period for whether global warming is actually occuring is just as arbitrary as using one month (global warming is a long term trend and i would hardly count one year as long term for these purposes). Weather is not static and therefore we should expect to see short term warming and cooling trends. but the whole premise of global warming is that on average there earth's temp will trend upward. this does not disprove that we are in a long term warming trend.
If the cooling occurred over a longer period, let's say ten years, then i would see it as more credible. nevertheless, if this short term cooling trend leads to glacial accumulation over alaska, greenland, and antarctica, that's a good thing either way.

OK, will people FINALLY start listening to what I was saying earlier? Global cooling is inevitable. I said earlier that after 2012 it will become obvious. Our dumb corporate-funded "scientists" know jack shit about climate change, or about the environment in general. Their plans to "protect" the environment, stop climate change is contradictory and quite absurd. Al Gore is an example of how we humans try to save the planet. Bullshit. We ignore the main reasons that cause CO2 levels spikes, and try to blame it on something to make people believe they're doing something about it.
In my opinion, the effect of increasing CO2 levels has absolutely minimal effect on global temperature changes, I already stressed that eons ago. CO2 levels only RESPOND to changes, they do not CAUSE the temperature changes. I.e. cutting millions of acres of rainforest every year - CO2 levels go up. CO2 levels went up almost 3 TIMES since 1700s or so, while the temp's only went up by miniscule fractions of degrees (did the temperatures go up 3 times???) ... which doesnt add up.
When CO2 levels went up 10,000 years ago at the end of last Ice Age it wasnt global warming. It was in RESPONSE to warming solar cycle changes, caused by melting ice releasing trapped carbon into the air.
I went over this in details on countless global warming threads on this forum. Quite frankly, I was rebuked and ridiculed. But I know that in the end, global cooling is coming. Because you cant fool solar cycles - the biggest temperature fluctuations factor.
