Exchange question / problem

I'm using Win Server 2003 with Microsoft Exchange. There used to be a user here, we'll call him Dave, who had the permission set to full control over someone elses mailbox and calendar - We'll call him Geoff. Dave has now left the organisation - As such I deleted Dave from Active Directory and purged his mail box from System Manager.

Great. But here's the problem. When people send out new calendar appointments to Geoff, they get the following automated reply:

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

Dave on 03/04/2008 09:52
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

I've had a look in the obvious places (Exchange tabs in Active Directory for example) to make sure Dave is no longer attached to Geoff in anyway and there is nothing obvious I can see.

Any ideas?

Humm.. maybe remove Geoff from the system and insert him again?

I think you'd getter better answers if you went to a specialized forum for this sort of thing, over here this is just plain random.

Na, that's not really an option. Getting his working enviornment back to exactly how it was will be more trouble than it's worth.

What forums did you have in mind?

I don't know.. there must be something out there. There's *always* something out there.

Google for "microsoft software support forums", "microsoft exchange help", or something like that.

I think, try changing some settings for delegates on Geoff's machine, wait a bit, and then change them back. Perhaps that will help Exchange flush out the stuck setting.

Or, maybe this will help:

How to delete corrupted and hidden rules from a single mailbox in Outlook 2003
