Invisible Grin Getting Started... can anyone help?

Hi guys!
I'm new here and I'd like to know how to start DJing...

I'm already a great MC, but playing songs and entertaining the crowd isn't enough... I want to mix!!!

I already have a great system: Harman/Kardon linked to my computer, plugged to Pro Audio Studio Monitors(with 12" woofers). It's pissing off my neighbours but it sounds great...

I don't have the place or the money for buying decks atm. Is there any software that can do the job???

- I already got encoding/decoding software + wave editing devices.
What else do I need???

Thanx in advance!

here are some mixing software that is (in my opinion) worth the DOWNLOAD : digital 1200(PCDJ silver, red.etc), traktor(the best one out there IMO), VTT(virtual turntables)....and there are tons of others but these i have used and think are worth it to check em out.

I'm sure you're right Zinni, but I'll have to do with this for now... till I get enough money to affort the material.

Or maybe there is another solution:
- Is it good to buy used decks, mixers and such??

What would you recommend??
I mean, I'm not even a beginner right now so where should I start??

buy new mixers definitely because you dont know if the faders bleed or if the sound is all messed up or not.

for turntables that varies. if you're going to buy used, you better go see what condition the turntable is in and try it. This even goes for Technics tt's as well.

To be on the safe side, i'd buy everything new but that's only if u are willing to spend a little more.

Thanx for the advice...
What would you suggest as a good starting kit for a beginner like me?

well for starting kits, the gemini/stanton direct drive packages arent bad. But I am more picky. So if you're not willing to spend enough to get technics and a good mixer, i'd suggest either

2 STR880s (these come with 2 carts already) + 1 Vestax PCV175
2 Gemini PT2100 (not sure if this comes with carts) + 1 Gemini PS626
or a combination of those. Those are cheap fairly reliable direct drives/mixers (as long as you dont scratch).
