Hi,

Your style can best be described as Experimental.

It sounds like Boards of Canada.

You do quite well with the mid to low frequencies, able to set an atmosphere. But the sounds you pick for the high mids to highs can be cheesy at times.

If you're trying to produce progressive, then produce progressive. It depends where you want your music to end up. Experimental won't end up in most DJ Crates (or hard drives nowadays). The style you're at right now might appear on indie movies.

It's not bad though, interesting stuff.

Leave some feedback on my thread please, have a listen:

Experemental? Really?? i wouldnt go so far as to call it that. I know its i bit wierd in the beggining but it does almost always progress into somthing trancy or technoish it just takes some time. But thanks and i do agree the treb and Pre parts can be kinda cheeze at times. thats defenetly somthing i can work on.
i need more oppinions!

Try work on more variety.

It progressES, but i don't really think it's progressive.

Genre isn't important, but I think you ultimately want to know your demographic. (Who might buy this record and play it at a club or wherever)

Haha "Elevator Music"

Off the topic:
My friend describes Jazz (one of my fav genres) as "The music you hear when you take a shit at McDonalds"

i've tried countless times to work with Fl studios but i cant get the hang of it! I create everything through Cubase SX 3 with the use of VST's. i really need someone to walk me through fl studios i just cant get the hang of if and it just gets to confusing for me. or maby im just doing it wrong?

yea i know allot of people say that but i have gotten so use to it that i find it really hard to work with any other program and work it properly. its a bitch but i kinda like demanding. it really gives me room to breath espessially with my drum vst battery 3. i like to pimp out my preccusion BIG TIME and the first time i open FL i was just like ummmmm ok a bass kick a snare a hh and an effect... wow the choices are endless... see what i mean? i just like to be a control freak with my drums and i think thats probably the only reason i cant work with fl more than 5 min at a time. but that doesent mean i dont have questions. i think its important to get good and FL and others cause it can do things that cubase just cant.

sorry about the riteee thing (dyslexia is a bitch)..
and thanks i agree i just find fruty loops to lack in detail kinda too easy if u get what i mean. Its probably gods gift to people who make dance music but i really just cant stay with the same beat for more that a couple of bars at a time. but then again i don't write dance music. but im still wondering what u guys think my music most sounds like.
i have been told that is experimental with ravey parts to it. i really wouldn't go so far as to call it experimental. i consider it to be more like minimalistic, stage progression with slight psychedelic influences. seeing as it rarely goes back to the same idea and can be a bit tippy and weird at times (i like to use weird percussion at times). (my new track does however and that will be with u guys in a little while just fine tweaking it a little).
The bottom line is can any body tell me who i sound like if anybody?
