Oh right, because from your original post it looked like the other way round (like the sex we have today is like a simulation/re-experiencing of child-play, and so i wrote that the opposite happens IMO).
Well, if one takes a Freudian stance, both child-play and sex are based on the erotic instinct which is "Eros"- the instinct for life (the opposite is "Thanatos" , the instinct of death) resulting in sexual "Libido".
Now, IMO Freud is bollocks, this kind of psychodynamic psychology is very old, but let me thing a bit about modern literature lol.
