hell no man, ortofons basically don't skip at all. I have my Blue DJs at 1.5 grams, and the only time they would skip is if i would backspin, or CUE a really warped record. Before ortofons i had trackmasters, and they totally SUCK if you compare them to ortofons. They skip like sh*t at the same weight, and the sound quality isn't as good(you really can hear the difference!)
