Sux this happened, but considering Shossow (it's at least believed to be him) has mocked Deadmau5 under the D-6 (or Deadrat6) alias with "Printing Russia" (ala "Faxing Berlin") and Very Exacly (ala Not Exactly), WTF did you expect? I wouldn't want to play anyone who thinks they are l33t and not only makes music with tracknames mocking mine, but also using an alias as the producer mocking my name?

As much as Shossow might really and truly not respect Deadmau5's productions or work ethic, the only people who do shit like this are people who are jealous of one's status.

I don't know Deadmau5. I don't know of anything he has done that personally attacks another producer or DJ....maybe he has....but knowing what I know, that being who is believed to be Shossow mocking Deadmau5 on more than one occasion, how the hell can I blame him for refusing to play at a gig with Shossow.

With that, from what I've heard it wasn't Deadmau5 who refused but a disagreement between the organizers, and both Deadmau5's and Shossow's management.

I personally like both both their productions. People hate on both, but I do like both. And I happen to really like D-6 - Printing Russia...so I'm not just planting myself one anyone's side because I like their tracks more.

The management claims that Deadmau5 was not aware that he was supposed to perform with me until 3 days before the event. Here is an quote from my AIM from an conversation with joel, notice the date: "AIM IM with XXXXXXXX 3/10/08 9:32 AM whats the deal with this Oslo shit? are you opening up for me or something?" (Duo private reasons we cant post his Screen name) The management also had accepted the artwork of the flyer... So, everything looked to be okay and the weeks went by. But on the 28th of March i received this statement in an email from the promoter: "Apparently Deadmau5 is refusing to play if Marcus is there, and that was an ultimate I got. Joel told his manager on Wednesday that he refuses to play with Marcus and is cancelling the gig. if Marcus is at the club or is playing at the club." My management tried to contact Joels management and agency to solve the issue but with no respond. So i went to Oslo because i had a connecting flight the next day to my performance in Poland the day after. I hoped until the last hour that we would be able to solve the situation but without any success. The promoter also tried to find another club for my performance at the same date.
