new tracks
Hi
For some reason couldn't get the first link to work but i gave the second one a listen and i really like it, easy going and quite chilled. Nice clear good quality sounds, the mix of sounds fill the spectrum and it flows along nicely. I'm not much of a fan of psy trance which is sort of what it sounds like to me because of the kick drum and the bass tone but i like it and with a few more additions like you say it will be a good little tune.
Nice one

agreed it is repetitive. you think i need to add in some more drastic changes?

begin with adding more and more percussions in the beginning, it could be percussion of some ethnic style drums maybe, and create a more progressive growing groove. the bass-sequence also need more supplements, maybe some added notes to it or maybe some development i the song, or maybe some automated cutoff tweaking, or even a little change of bass-sound in the middle part just to give it a breathing-break.
Also, since youre really going for that 3-note melody I suggest you do something drastic with the sound of it, like automation tweaking which
basically means + and - on reverb, delay, release, attack, decay, cutoff, ressonance, eq, lfo's rate and feedback, adding fx on breaks and fills like low-cut filter or flanging/phasing is also an idea.
Just giving you some tools to work with. I don't know what to do actually.

yes, automation is usually what you forget also...but think of it as the the lounges that breathe the music in and out, if its not breathing the brain will get tired and fall asleep listening to it. its like telling a exciting story without any suspense or emotion in the way of telling it. |
wow that statement really speaks to me. i think i should think of this next time i produce a track. this should be a sticky for all to read.
by the way your productions are very interesting.
good job.
