As is always stated on here, with Behringer DJ gear you get loads of features at the cost of quality. If you just want as many effects and controls as you can get your hands on, go for it but don't be surprised if it sounds pretty shoddy and things start to become a bit temperamental (or even break spectacularly) within a few months.

Personally I'd always recommend going for one of the more reputable brands... not from a snobby "mine sounds better than yours" point of view, but because it'll last you and it'll hold its value, so rather than being a throwaway toy for 6 months, you end up with something you can either sell on or keep as a solid spare mixer when you decide to upgrade.

have a look at vestax, they make reasonably priced mixers that are great quality. I have a VMC 004 FX and I am really happy with it, built like a tank and has good sound quality.

They do make some high quality speakers and mics. I used to measure speaker linearity/dynamics with a MMK system, and $60 Behringer mic. Test results were consitent and looked great.

I played around with this mixer at GC. It was already broken lol. Funny, there is this Pioneer 909 that has been there for years (was there when I first looked at eq). Faders still good (missing caps), still worked, and had the same gashes from some idiot that dropped a cdp on it.

Yea.. no good I would say.
