it is bullshit man. i saw this one video on youtube about how people tried to get out of the cult/religion and wanted their money back from their 'counseling' (counseling in scientology increases your points to get to the top of the church or be considered more "significant" )

Piece of trivia: when Frank Herbert was writing Dune, he had a HUGE falling-out with L. Ron Hubbard, one of those 50 Cent vs. The Game kind of fallings-out.
