At that level they don't buy them, they receive free shippings.

I was once a hardcore defender of vinyl, but with time, the switch is a must. If i'm not mistaking, pressing vinyls will be illegal soon in Europe (for environmental issues).

Even major events like Bal en blanc has 5 CDJ players, no turntables.

Nothing will beat the great feeling of looking through all these color sleeves, taking out the vinyl, and playing with them, throwing them back... it wa so physical and a great way to let out energy in your performance. The more we go Digital, the more the movements and the action look boring.

But it costs so much vs digital, plus I like editing the tracks I buy so i was always ending up recording the vinyl to mess with it in digital anyway. loosing quality in the recording. Now I do it straight in the original file.

I grab em very rarely! Especially since I dont have my turntables anymore! Most of the really good stuff dont come out on digital sometimes so you have to buy the vinyl. I didnt think Vinyl would be illegal to press in Europe? Since when and why?

I don't recall where I saw that, but it was an article saying that vinyls were made of some toxic something bad for the environment, and they wanted to make that something illegal of use... I think for 2009 or 2010.

I still buy them, but only for amateur purposes (collecting and whatnot).

But for DJing, digital is way more versatile, for all the reasons mentionned by Creator

I always used vinyls since 1990 and switch to cd's for the ridiculous price and the weight. For sure, the vinyl feeling is great, but paying 13-18$ a track and stop playing it after few weeks or months...lolno!

I switched first from vinyls to Torq Software with vinyls, stop using it cuz not fun to plug and unplug your stuff in the club in the front of the first or next dj.

Now burning cd's,extremely happy with this solution, feel lighter to bring, like the feeling to play with cdj's,missing playing on decks, but hey...we have to make choices!

I still buy a lot of records, mostly for collecting.. but most tracks get released as digital format now, so I guess I'll have to switch completely soon enough.. sad thing, I love getting them out of their sleeves and put them on my TT

I just can't get over the fact that 3 records cost something like 40$.

I completely disagree with the most tracks come out digital now. I guess it depends on what style but almost everything I want is never digital! Its frustrating!
