Yip DjAnothony is right you have to get your Mixdown Spot on other wise it's a complete waist of time and money and sometimes Mastering Engineers will not even touch it.

Mastering won't make your music sound better. It'll make it sound more "correct" (plays back faithfully on a wide range of systems) and it'll raise the average level if required.
The final sound comes 99.9% from the mixdown, 0.1% from the mastering. Take full responsibility for your sound. I've paid a fair bit of money over the years in order to find this out. If you want to spend a lot of your money too, it's your choice!

thanx guys..jus one more question..i usually stick a vintage warmer and small bit of compression over the mix before the first export..should i just send the mix exported with no plugins over it???
