Deadmau5 is no musician.
After watching the below interview, I have now figured the dude out, it didn't take long - seeing how the interview is only 9 minutes. But after viewing it, it begged the question:

If you spent 10 years of your life, living at home with your mom, having no life except the PC ("studio") on your lap,
reading and studying and learning music, not going out anywhere,
doing anything, with no responsibility - living the life of a hobbit - that how can you not be good or great at what you do?
So is he talented or is he just the result/product of
no life and hard work?
Anyone can perfect their craft if they devote their life to it.
I see no real gift here, he doesn't play any instruments and he doesn't sing- he just knows how to work a computer real well.
So in my mind - that does not equate to a musician. Im sure if a computer technician wanted to become a 'music programmer' he could.
He has some good tunes - great basslines and has good rhythm - but I dont believe it to be talent - just effort.
Your passion for music is no greater than his, he has just decided to do something with it.
And one more thing to add to my rant - the dude needs some class and charisma - to carry the stature that he has demands it.
He acts like a little boy - heck David Archuletta is more mature than him.
Grow up Joel, the Im a nerd act is only cool if your not acting.
