New projectalias - need help with new epic-trance track

The new projectalias is S.O.E (Scores of Energy :P)and is going to be an epic/uplifting-trance project (finally i'm back to my favourite trancegenre), using filmscore-like symphonyriffs as breakdowns and main melody, and is going to have the similarity of f.ex. some of G.Huinink's tracks. I kinda stuck with the first track, the symphonyline is produced but I don't quite know how to bring the trancey energy into it. anybody want to give me some opinions about this?

i'm finished with the first 6 minutes and have managed to get past the main breakdown. maybe some sounds is a little loud and stuff, but its at an early stage.

Looks like im back on track with my old site:

Alternative is:

hey man, I said I'd be back! :P

Slight problem though, I took a half-listen on crappy speakers at work, but then when i went to take a proper listen at home you'd put up the new site, which didn't behave for me and wouldn't play! But anyway - from what I did hear, this has big promise. The stabs and FX you use in the buildup are so Tiesto man! very unique and inventive. the melody is pretty huge, although to make it sound more epic and symphonic I would draw out the notes a little more, elongate them ... or make them blend together with some extra decay (certain parts of the melody flow a little too quickly to sound like authentic orchestral if ya know what i mean).

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the synth you use to "trance-form" the symphonic piece into a trance melody, I found it a bit generic, maybe even a tad oldskool .... it's close to sounding good but it could do with a little extra tweaking, maybe play with the brightness and motion a bit? the arrangement of the notes you use on it sounds great though. At the end of this sample I was dying to hear it drop back in and bring on the energy so I look forward to hearing where it goes next! your percs and stabs are a real strong point man, real pro-sounding. I hope that helps .. I know its in early stages so i'm sure you'll get it sounding awesome. I really need to listen to this again properly on a bigger system though.

and I know this is against your rules but can i also just say Skellig ROCKS

The deep chord stabs in the intro start of a little too loud, making the low end a little muddy. I think a little drop in volume would help.
As they become more highpassed I think they are absolutely awesome, Ive fallen in love with that sound.
1:50 seems... hmm.. chaotic. I would like to be more precise but all I can say is something in there is a little too much.
awesome strings at 3:50, now I can hear the symphonic element.
5:00 is a nice return of the woosh stabs. Things are a little loud though, but you mentioned it already.

Very promising work, keep it up.

Hey man,

While I am listening:
- I think your kick has a little to much high in it, EQ-ing that will give it more punch.
- Really like the arrangement
- Make sure that the track doesn't get to busy, Try to compress that supersaw sound that you used, it is taking up a lot of space.
- Really like the sounds you used. You only have to be carefull because some sounds are to loud, and that just f*cks up the mix!!
- Really like the chords used in the break!
- See if you can maybe transfer the sound in the break, I think it would be much nicer if you used genuine orchestral string in the break.
- Nice arp (bit standard though )
- Again, watch the volume of the sounds!

Overall, this is a nice track. Good work (Y).
Hope I helped you out a little.
