I'm kind of alright with it on a radio when its a breakdown. I recently played a guestmix on the radio and during a big breakdown the Radio DJ spoke on the microphone but got off when the climax was about to hit.

Can be quite effective sometimes...

i hate it, one of the main reasons i rarely listen to drum and bass now a day

Indeed, but also sometimes it can be really annoying, especially when he's going to like hearing himself....

One or two lines should be it.
I once heard a mc rap live through a club track. That was surprisingly cool.

What are you on about?

The MC has been part of the DJ setup forever, but very under developed and poorly used. When used well and MC can incite great feelings up power, freedom, and triumph.
