Thought I'd share this with you lot in case anyone fancied having a listen, it's a podcast run by London trance night ElectronicSessions for whom I put together a 60-minute guest mix last month. The episode also features a mix from London trance DJ Alan Banks, which is also very much worth a listen!
My mix is a mixture of electro, techno, prog house and prog trance with a little bit of breaks in there as well... here's the tracklist:
01. Riri Mestica - Denny Boy (Dubby Deep Mix) [Spinach Recordings]
02. Diogo Riberio - Lost & Found [Method]
03. Marzz - Sun Spots [Detox]
04. Josh Gabriel - Summit [Organized Nature]
05. Avici - Mr Equalizer [Strike Recordings]
06. Kid Dub - Tetris (Tocadisco Edit) [Noir Music Black]
07. Headphonics - Planet Rock [Exogenic Breaks Records]
08. Oliver Twin - Loudmouth [Superbia]
09. Junkie XL - Zage [Nettwerk]
10. 10 Rapid - Sonic Weapon [Neon Wax]
11. Dirty Thieving Mingrels - Clarkee Cap [Blurred Vision UK]
12. Jaimy & Kenny D - City Gain [Wildlife]
13. John Rowe - We Are Alive [4 Stroke Produktunes]
14. Marco V - Dudak (Brian Cross Remix) [In Charge]
15. Alandanat - Paradise Garden (Roma Pafos HD Remix) [Mediadrive Records]

Just finished listening to it. It was really enjoyable, I like this harsh banging style. Some of the mixing seemed a little abrupt though. One song would be going just fine on its own then you'd suddenly slam in a new track with almost full eq's. It didn't ruin the mix as a whole, but I didn't particularly like those transitions. I like a little more smoothness in my mixes, but thats just personal preference I suppose.
Cheers for the comments fella, yeah this is the sort of sound I've found myself playing more and more recently but don't really know how to label it!
And I agree about the sudden mixes, there are a few in particular on that mix that sort of come out of nowhere. Something I need to work on - still pulling off smooth mixes even when the tunes have only got a 30 second intro... bring out the looping!
