Yesterday Obama apparently sent a letter to Trinity United Church of Christ, home of the infamous Jeremiah Wright, saying that he has resigned his membership in the church -- presumably to distance himself further from Wright and also from the more recent comments by Michael Pfleger:
I am also hearing (via another board) that this was reported minutes ago on CNN.

Wondering how this will be viewed in light of Obama's comments that he could "no more disown [Reverend Wright] than I can disown the black community"...
