Stalkers in the office
So I had a very disturbing conversation with the IT guy from my office. He asked me how did I manage to update my Facebook profile during office hours. I said I used a computer that we have here that has an external connection that a contractor uses and asked him why was he asking me this.
He said that he was approached by someone in the office that I have in my contacts asking him if he knew how I managed to access Facebook from the office since it's blocked. That person was certain that I was accessing it from the office because of e-mail notifications that he/she received during office hours. WTF?
I thanked him for the info, and proceeded to delete every contact I had from the office. The only reason I accepted their invites was to be polite, anyway. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with some people?
Lot's of stuff is blocked here but since I work in IT I know how to get around it... use portals, or settings on proxy server etc. but I dont work in the department that monitors the internet usage and I have no idea whos responsibility it is but I was in the middle of downloading a multi-part .rar file from Megaupload yesterday and got totally owned. Part 1 (check), Part 2 (check), Part 3... This site has been blocked and a record of this activity has been recorded. FUCK!
Well I finished the download at home but its just not quite the same as downloading it lightning fast on a T3

LOL, updates as in adding pictures, writing on a friend's wall to wish him HB, etc. not updating status.
@TranceOwns: nah, this guy would've just told me instead of making up a story. He wouldn't have a reason to say anything to me since a) I'm not doing it from the office computer and b) he's not in my contacts.

Again - why would you do any of that at work? Just seems pointless to me. Then again - I find it pointless OUT of work, too

Have you ever found yourself sitting in your desk with jack-shit to do?
