I realize there are several different types of MIDI software out these days but I'm looking for something fairly user friendly and good for live performances. Just looking for some feedback from actual users.

Ableton Live I guess would be the main one to check out. There's also programs like Torq from M-Audio which offer full midi support for mixing.

ableton is the standard for live stuff...

i use fl studio for my productions and i just burn to cd and spin off of cdjs... most live sets i see are pretty boring to be honest. not that you can't do it, but it is hard.
