How are you cramming 12 tracks into 60 mins, when the average track amount for an 80 minute mix is 11?

Perhaps you should ask, how I am cramming 18 tracks into 48 minutes?

Also, I cut up and edit all my tracks before mixing.

P.S. 7 minutes per track is way too long, a track should not be played for over 5 minutes on average imo.

5 mins per core of each track, 1 minute on either side for mixing in and out

More like 2-3 min core, and about 32 beats to mix in or out of something.

Different taste I guess.

I noticed that you were mixing psy, and psy seems slightly more progressive to me than the stuff I am mostly mixing. So perhaps that would explain it.

Psy tends to have shorter transitions I find, or at least I mix it that way.

My trance mixes tend to about 2 minute transitions generally, but then I rarely go about 140bpm with normal trance, hehe

i listened to the eclipse mix. some nice tracks there, but most i didn't care for. also IMO the mixing was too quick. i prefer longer transitions and to hear more of the tracks. now it kinda felt that the tracks didn't get to play nearly as long as they should, they kinda ended in the middle of everything. other than that, the mixing was good IMO.

I guess it is just my style to mix stuff fast... Also, regarding track choice, you might like a different mix more, if you don't like techtrance as much (or perhaps our taste in techtrance is just different).
