Fuck them, there are far better plugins around anyway. To me they have made no exceptional plugins

Gladiator is made by Tone2, not reFX.

I thought that tone2 was just another brand name made by the refx people. If that's not the case, then:

but you'd have to download the software to see this, at which point if you disagreed, you still couldn't get a refund as there are no returns. I'd want to check the legality of that...

someone relay that to the thread if they're signed up

These type of agreements have been through the ringer on legality as it is. Bottom line, any agreement you make after the purchase (or action) is going to be on shaky ground. They've been voided even when done before (most companies have changed things like terms and conditions to meet those requirements now), but after the purchase or action taken... very weak. 99% of the population won't challenge it though because litigation costs money, especially if you find out you have to go to their forum to pursue it.

And on a sidebar, service like this doesn't help their case when they're asking people to pay for their product and providing service to not one, but two people that were willing to. Dumbasses.

Tone two is not another brand name of refx. The Vanguard synth was developed by Michel Kleps who is the owner of REFX however the filters & Oscillators were developed by Markus Fell the owner of Tone 2.

Refx have quite a reputation for crap customer service but I can assure from personal experience that Tone 2's customer service is nothing short of excellent. ( It was also rumored that the two developers’ fell out over Michel Kleps treatment of customers but I can't confirm )

By the way Gladiator is one hell of a synth and I can highly recommend it.
