I don't know - the weird thing for me was when I started to play at clubs a bit more, the less I started to go out and stay out. Just became kind of "early hours" people out at clubs whether I was playing or not.
I think this also had a lot to do with how intensely bored I got with seeing headliners this past year and a half or so. Being so close to Chicago, and Chicago having such a massive pool of good locals, really meant that pretty much all I became interested in were local parties or seeing locals open for headliners. The only headliners in the past year (excluding DEMF) that really, really kept my interest were FDV, Joris Voorn, Max Graham, and Danny Howells. As such, I think I also just kind of fell less & less in love with the prospect of being out at a loud club until all hours of the morning. In the end we just wound up going out less and less, and really only staying out for locals.
That being said, this year I finished a massively busy school year and went to DEMF, and now I feel like my passion for dance music is back as much as it ever was. All I want to do is either be out listening to good music (preferably outside), or be playing it anywhere anyone will put up with it.
So in the end, I don't know how to answer your question. I have trouble predicting my own behavior.
I do, however, think I'll always have some sort of decks setup at my home for as long as I'm capable. It's very cathartic for me just to be able to play around for a while, whether it's out or at home.
