reversing samples in ableton

Hello

I've been wondering if anyone knows if theres an option in ableton to reverse sample in impulse/drum rack or ableton sampler?

I know how to reverse it as a wave, but I want to have more control over particular sample and program it through midi..

Thanks in advance!

Think about it then mate.

Reverse it as wav THEN drop it in simpler/impulse and away you go.

This takes too much work to reverse every sample individualy to see how it sounds reversed. But I guess this is the best option

If u use Sampler in Live there is a reverse button, then you can hit the little button to browse different samples.

If you load the sample into a clip slot then you can reverse it in the clip options. Read your instruction manual. You HAVE read YOUR instruction manual, yes?

He's not asking how to reverse a clip sample - hes asking to reverse a sample when its loaded in Impulse or Sampler

Thanks a lot Captain McObvious. The point is you can drag a sample from any of those built-in instruments to a clip... then reverse it... then drag it back to the instrument.

Yes, but in fairness, he already knows how to reverse an audio clip. He mentioned that in his original post so why would he want to drop it into sampler/impulse, then drag it out into a clip to reverse it, then back into sampler/impulse when he could just reverse it first then drop it in.

You've aksed him if he read the manual but it seems like you didn't read his post

Oh...I read his post. If he wants to control it through midi then he can have multiple instances of Impulse/Sampler/Simpler/Sompler/Sumpler... crap, I know... which is a big reason to have TRACK FOLDERS!!! YOU LISTENING ABLETON!?!?! TRACK FOLDERS!!!

...whew... glad I got that out. Been pent up for a while now.

if he has Live 7, he should use drum rack instead. You can put Samplers on each drum part, and reverse is there.

But indeed, it's in the manual.
