These loopers have been launched by so many different manufacturers, I think they are in their fourth incarnation!
Personally, I had nightmare experiences with them (several units) when they were redsound, and they kept breaking, the BPM counter was unreliable, and when they looped it sounded like crap.
I know they got a bit better with later models, but I would stay away if possible.

It's the Soundbite Micro that has MIDI clock.
The PVDJ Grabber is the oldest version. The Soundbite XL is the newer version and has a couple more options, such as filters (HP,BP,LP) and three different looping group options
1, 2, 4, 4, 8, 16 beats (default setting)
1/4, 1/2, 1, 4, 8, 16 beats
1/4, 1/2, 1, 4, 4, 32 beats
The PVDJ Grabber only has the default loop lengths, and no filters. Pretty basic.
Then to make things more confusing, there's the Soundbite Pro, which is the newest version and is the same as the XL, but with 1GB internal memory to store samples/loops. The Grabber and XL do not have internal memory to store anything. Also the Pro has a USB connection and comes with software to load the samples and customize loop settings.
I only have the PVDJ Grabber and love it. Would love to get the Pro. Highly recommend any of them.

if your not using the send and return, and are going through the headphone out with either model...that you have to have the volume ridiculously high in order for the volume to be on par with what your playing
can anybody confirm?
