Satan (eek!) Gran Tourismo 3 license help

Hey guys,

I am stuck on the last test in License 1A!!! It's that damn "complex circles test" with the Skyline. The test where the circles get smaller and smaller. Ugh, it's driving me nuts. Any tips for the last test? I've tried both manual and automatic tranmissions. The closest I have gotten is 1 second away from the bronze.

Help

Emil

Well, you know how the buttons are pressure sensitive (the harder you push the faster you go). Do the run a few times trying to find the exact speed for each turn.. Then use the buttons to hold that exact speed around the whole turn.. It takes a little practise but it gets real easy after a little. It makes the turn feel, look, and go better.. It's alot better than gt1 and 2 where you had to keep tapping on the gas to get a certain speed..

Hope that helps..

With the analog sticks.. ever notice how steering is much quicker.. Stop somewhere.. turn the wheel with the d-pad.. let it back.. then do the same with the analog stick.. It's much faster.. Which is pretty weird.. Just thought I should share that "useful" info

I used to use the right analog stick for accelerating and braking in gt1 and gt2... now i use those excellent pressure sensitive buttons.. it makes throttle and brake modulation on exit and entrance soooo much easier... just always remember the traction circle... there's only so much you can brake/accelerate/or turn before the wheels lose traction....
A good trick for the license test... hug the inside of the circle as tightly as you can... even keep half your car on the grass... also, if you're driving automatic, holding the R2 or L2 button keeps your car from down- or upshifting... great for limiting speed in the circle...

If you watch the demos of the license, you can get it to show how much acceleration/braking and turning is being done by the computer, then you can just try and copy it. You might be thinking 'nah i dont need to see a demo' but trust me, just watch it first and then have a go, its a lot easier.
